Brain Snatch

In Brain Snatch I explore laymen’s brain anatomy, considering the layered base brain (brain stem and organs) that automatically handle breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and the will to live—often labeled “reptilian” with a negative connotation. I contrast this concept with the neocortex responsible for imagination, thinking, and creativity, and I argue the stigma harms self-perception and fuels self-hatred.

I link all of this to Western religion’s sinner’s identity as the ultimate control mechanism, and I explain how authorities use fear and Hegelian dialectics (thesis, antithesis, synthesis) to manipulate populations. Examples I use include the pandemic threat leading to shots, the weapons of mass destruction narrative that justified the Iraq war and Patriot Act, and 9/11.

Fear triggers the autonomic nervous system’s fight-or-flight response (sympathetic), which shuts down objectivity in favor of reactive action. True escape comes from recognizing overly-toned mind traps, and shifting motivation from terror to inspiration.

My call is to reclaim personal sovereignty by abandoning fear-based “subscriptions.”
